The Corbridge Tandoori Classic Cuisine from Bangladesh The Corbridge Tandoori restaurant has been a popular venue for fine dining for over 32 years - since 1989. At the very heart of the Corbridge community in Market Place, we welcome many visitors from all over the UK and the world as well as our regular customers. Including serving generations of local families. As a destination of distinction in this historic village we are open throughout the year and offer authentic Bangladeshi cuisine made with fresh local ingredients prepared to our own unique recipes.
Our bridge is the oldest surviving bridge over the River Tyne. Built in 1674 it was the only bridge on the Tyne to survive the severe flood of 1771.The layout of Corbridge is very much as you would have found it in medieval times with the look of historic buildings protected by our Village Trust. Today it is home to many acclaimed independent shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants along with several buildings of historic interest and lovely river walks.Nearby there are many places to enjoy including the English Heritage Roman Town, Hadrian’s Wall, Aydon Castle and the beautiful Northumberland countryside. The Corbridge Tandoori is proud to be a part of the vibrant Corbridge community and actively supports local charities and good causes, including our local schools. Enjoy your meal.
